Stuck in the Mud, Waiting for Rescue

2,015 Views · Posted 4 years ago
Just a casual day out flying some quads. Will and I first went to a park to warm up, then we ventured into the woods to fly around some trees and some moss. Then we went a bit farther up the road and pulled off to an empty camping spot to fly. But little did I know, when the time came to leave we would be stopped in our tracks. The exit didn't look like much when we had pulled in, sure a bit muddy, but man were we wrong. Due to the slanted nature as well as a little zig zag action, in combination with very very slippy mud. We were stuck. Lucky for us we had a bar or so of cell signal, which we didn't have down in the valley. But since we had gained a bit of altitude to get to the empty camping spot, we could call for help.

Brian immediately jumped to action. Thinking about it now, its very fitting that I'm uploading this on Thankgiving day. As I find my self very grateful to have friends, like Brian, who will pick up the phone and drive an hour and a half to pull my ass out a sticky situation.

Guess its time to start upgrading ol larry.
