Benson, Brian and I went on an off-road adventure picking our way around mountain passes. The goal was to get out, after being cooped up inside for so long. It was nice to slowly mosey around rock littered dusty roads with some friends.

Our toyotas were out in full force!

During this summer, I've been spending a lot of time fixing up the old cruiser. I did a full front axle/knuckle rebuild. New pads and rotors. A bunch of seals all around the engine that were slowly weeping oil from decades of neglect. New belts and pulleys. Spark plugs and wires. Fluids. New radiator and hoses. The list goes on and on and on, like any old car, when I fixed one thing, I realized I should fix another in a never ending rabbit hole. But I'm nearing the end of the tunnel. This little trip served as a shake down run for ol Larry the slow cruiser. Knowing I was out in the wild with 2 other very capable rigs as a safety net. Allowed me to see how the truck and my handy work would fair over the rattly rocky roads. To my delight, after a full day of knocking around, nothing fell off, nothing broke down.

We even got to do some flying in the end!
