"Something for the weekend sir?"
"Yes please, I'll take a packet of four!"
So this week I received a bunch of new props to try from Lord Zhong - creator of propeller magic, and I slapped them all on my Cobra 2207/2600 motors and gave them a whirl.
Each prop has it's own pros and cons and different feelings. I tried to avoid too much static data and just concentrate on flying to how they felt they wanted to be flown. I'd be very happy flying any of these props - but if I had to decide I'd probably still go for 5x4x4-v1s PC for freestyle. For racing it's a toss-up between the new 5.5x4x3 and the 5
x4.5x3-v2 - I'm probably slighly favouring the latter but I'll try them both in a race situation before I commit :)
Bonus out-take at the beginning was my aborted attempt at upgrading one of my quads to be 5S and 3D ready. I'd added low-ESR caps to each of my Kiss 24A ESCs, but obvioulsy something went wrong as it caught fire the first time I armed with just a 4S pack. Ho hum, back to the bench.
