Excited to share what I've been testing. Using 2208-2450kv VCI-Spark Motors, BetaFlight 4.4.2, and the latest GemFan 513D v2 props with increased durability. It's like a brand new machine. The 2208's really shine for 3D, while a large stator for a 5inch prop- the insane torque allows for near instant throttle response and absorbs the abuse from 3D with motors and ESC coming down the same temps, only the battery screaming for life now.
The added benefit of this 2208 version is, it can handle 4-6s with this 5inch prop, though on 6s the KV is insane and will likely rip the molecules in the sky apart... but the motor will handle it, if the ESC doesn't give out. I may drop down to 1950kv/2150kv in the future.
I have the PID and full CLI dump of this up on my discord for the curious, this flight is with PID profile 3. Likewise I have pictures of my config for those curious.
Hugh shout out to Vulcan Innovations for these 2208's. They're incredible performing motors and really let me step up my game combined with the other changes I made. You've ruined me, and now all I want to fly are these motors hahaha.

Huge thanks to the BetaFlight devs too, I was a bit of a kurmudgen first trying out the new BetaFlight but... after a bunch of fine tuning, it's... as you can see, amazing. Also if you're reading this... please change the default 3D motor neutral to 1500, high to 1550, and low to 1450 please and thank you!
