There are literally hundreds of LCD monitors available on the market, many of them small and able to run off of 12VDC, but one thing we people flying FPV need is a monitor that won't blank out when there is static in the video. Most manufacturers think that if there is static in a video, that people would rather not see it, so they make the monitors go to blue or black screen to hide the noisy picture. When flying FPV, even a second of blank screen could be the difference between saving your plane or crashing.
I'm happy to announce that, after searching and testing MANY monitors, that I've found a great quality 9 inch LCD that allows you to completely disable the blue/black screen. I've seen other vendors say "no blue screen", but their monitor still goes black...so what's the difference? This will show whatever video signal is being fed to it, even if it's complete noise, which could give you enough to save your plane when pushing the limits of your system. Don't be fooled by one of the vendors selling one of the many monitors that could cause you to crash due to the picture going away, buy from the place that only sells you the BEST fpv equipment with the BEST service and support.
