So I'm trying to practice more of these voice over style tutorials. And how do you get better at something? You do them a lot!
Today I decided to make a "my soldering gear" as well as a super basic how I solder tutorial. Maybe in the future Ill make a more in depth soldering tutorial, but I want to save that video for when I'm more confident in making a good tutorial video.
Main soldering tips:
Make sure you tin your iron, you can't transfer heat very well with a dry iron, or an oxidized iron. That's why its so important to always clean and pre-tin your tips. Solder likes to stick to solder.
Use a soldering tip that's larger than the wire you are soldering. The more thermal mass your iron has, the faster it can heat up the wire/pad you are soldering. Making sure you don't have to just hang out and burn up whatever you are trying to solder.
