Hawaii Vlog Day 3 - Am I Juicy enough? Time will tell...

Day 3 was the first day of competition for the Aloha Cup (the last qualifiers for the Droneworlds championships) - some racing, some freestyle practice, a lot of waiting around, lots of confusion, but also lots of meeting really cool people and doing the best we can with the opportunities we have.
My primary focus for the day was on Freestyle, since I've never competed in a Freestyle comp before, and I'm already qualified for Worlds for racing - but I wanted to make an effort and get some race practice in too. Ultimately I put in a semi-decent 38s lap, but that wasn't enough to make the cut-off for the last 32. Upshot is, tomorrow I can completely focus on freestyle!

Today I managed to hit the freestyle practice rounds multiple times, and collected some of my favourite footage so far. The allocated freestyle area is somewhat small - some would say disappointingly so - but ultimately I'm used to Singapore's smaller parks and so I was pretty happy to boost around in the cordoned off area with beautiful mountains and clear skies as my backdrop!

Tomorrow will be more focused on the competition itself, so let's see how that goes. Whatever happens I know I'll be in awe of the guys I'm competing with. Sitting in the same tent as JohnnyFPV collectively judging Bapu's freestyle run was a surreal experience! And Chad even said he may spot for me tomorrow - if I can keep my shit together with that kinda pressure then I'll be very very happy!!

Onwards and forwards... Aloha to everyone :)
