Afternoon at the Diving Range!

Finally had a bluebird day to go and revisit this spot I’d been wanting to hit since the first time I went there! I wanted to attack it from the other side of the riverbed so that I could line up better with the ridges, the first time I went I was on the same side and had poor angle and would lose video if I dove the gashes...

So I had my 7” running nicely. Headed off with my 7” and my Hypetrain 5” with the intention of hitting another spot with the 5” on the way back. However - my first flight with the 7” was catastrophic!! I was trying to tune the notch filters, and obviously it wasn’t happy as it was vibrating to all hell, no way to drop altitude other than throttle up while pitch forward. Eventually one of the props stopped spinning and I death rolled to the tarmac. Seems the only real damage was the ESC on my All-in-one that melted causing the death roll, so very happy with how my prototype Judge XE7 is holding up!

So, left with the choice of a drive home of shame, or hitting it anyway - I threw my long range packs on my 5”! Running Hypetrains, HQ5.1x5.1x3 and a TattooF4S AIO - I started off with a couple of 1600mAh to test range. Then threw my 2600mAh on to have a serious run at it. And then finally I threw on the 3300mAh and it was glorious! All the footage in this video is from a single flight with the 3300mAh, and I had mAh to spare at the end!

A bit of jello from wind and poor tune, but overall it was fun to fly and was great to hit the range I did! Crossfire 100mW, Unify Race 200mW.
