So after going on and on to Nick trying to convince him to try using a mic I maidened my new rebuild yesterday, and then I felt stupid because the mic F&KING SUCKED!! But does it really???
...All I really wanted to do was turn down the gain because I was positive it was just getting blasted by the screaming hornet it was strapped to. But there isn't a way to turn down the gain. So I took apart the Swift 2, and took a 330ohm resistor and soldered it to the microphone leads, bridging them. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
