The FXT DVR records at twice the framerate of the FatShark DVR. You're actually missing half of the video information using the stock DVR from the FatShark goggles!
The built-in FatShark DVR is fine for the casual user, but for those wanting to share the smoothest videos with the least amount of compression artifacts we feel the FXT DVR stands out as the clear leader.
One clear way to see the differences is to pause the video full screen while on a computer and move forward one frame at a time by pressing the "." button. You can see that the FXT DVR shows two DIFFERENT frames for every one that the FatShark DVR shows. This is why the video is so much smoother. We'll do a short video showing only that difference as well.
