A great reminder regarding personal safety and the products we rely on to help protect us!
We do our best to test products before we decide to carry them and sell them. Usually it's simply a matter of only wanting to sell quality products that we feel we can stand behind. In some cases it seems to be a matter of safety.
Two "lipo sacks" meant to help protect the user when things go bad while charging lipos. In both cases, the sack that were supposed to help reduce the chances of nearby items catching fire or sustaining damage. In both cases, not only did these sacks fail at containing the blowout from overcharged lipos, but they also actually caught fire themselves, possibly causing more damage than if the lipo would have been sitting by itself!
This serves as a great reminder...not only should you use extreme caution when charging lipos, and you should never charge them in area where items could catch fire if the lipo goes ballistic, but also don't get too confident in your "safety" equipment. Make sure that you are using quality equipment. In some cases your personal safety could be at risk!
