Man, I could have sworn the quad shut down above the trees, and I also lost video up there, but after watching the replay on DVR it appears I kept video all the way until the gravel below. So this is how I busted my RaceFlight Chameleon about a week ago. The day prior after flying 2 longish range packs (from the "Not worrying about my Radio Link anymore" video) I set out to fly a good mile out, but 3 seconds into the pack the video just straight cut and I disarmed dropped 5 foot back into the ditch. RIght as I was about to go clear the F------ out. Dang.... (What's freaking crazy is in the DVR as I pick up the quad, Ghost Kitt's face shows up in the static, see the Unify actually went into "WTF Mode". I've been having this a lot lately it seems. I don't know if I'm actually killing them or just "killing them" but I'm pretty sure it all started when I added a T in the middle of my audio cable between the mic and the vtx to the FC so I could have SmartAudio. Since my Unify button wasn't very easily accessible I thought it was about time to come into the 21st century with all this fancy new crap you can do (at least we're finally using some of those switches, am I right xD hahaha). When you look up how to do this, they say you may need a 100microUF cap inline with (I think it was the mic feed) but if you may not need this, depends if it works basically. So I haven't had to fiddle, I've got earbud noise, and fancy LUA shiz, good to go. But like 2-3weeks in boom goes the Unify. But heres the thing, I don't think they're actually "dying" dying, the power output remains the same (800mw) but they start up with a solid Blue LED. Channel is A1 now. Reset channel, unlock again, power was still on 4 blinks, good to go again. In fact, after switching to Crossfire, I could see all the Unify crap in the LUA Micro RX script. After that lil freakout static resety thing, the LUA script crashes when selecting RX... whooaaaawww booo scary ghost noises :P so I dont know wtf is the deal but tomorrow I'm going to see if the other XTx's actually still work after all. This vid the quad just lost all motor power instantly after that 180 over the pine trees and just freefell into the gravel road below. So weird. Might be the 3-in-1 Bolt / TBS BulletProof combo, who knows. So lately I've been flying BetaFlight. Wow long story, but if anyone has any insight to wtf I've been experiencing with the Unifys please drop a comment :) Enjoy!!
