The upper crown of the Giant Sequoia is a tangle of towering vertical trunks, dense frawn-like leaves, and hanging branches that never ends. I'll never forget these flights.
To get the first and last flights I mounted a camera at 85° and learned to fly 'on my back.' It's strange at first but I came to love the breaking power of gravity and seeing the forest in a totally new way. Maybe there will be vertical races up the sides of skyscrapers one day.
