I sincerely do prefer this material over anything else for battery pads, but to be honest, there's another reason I'm reviewing this product today.

ReadyMadeRC has a much cheaper version of what appears to be a very similar product. It's a little thinner and lighter. I haven't used it, but give it a try. https://goo.gl/VAjpCW
