Just a quick one from what was my last flying session in the U.S. for a little while. I now head to Dubai and then back home to Australia to catch up with my friends and family. This video truly is two random flights stacked together along with a random bit of music. No mind blowing perfectly practiced manoeuvres or eye popping stunts of death defying proportions. Just me, with my friends. I should've been back at the house franticly getting ready for the Dubai World Drone Prix but the lack of sleep and stress was getting to me so I thought it wise to go to the one place with the select few people that can remove the problem. A random park with likeminded friends.
While we all want this sport to grow, it is unfortunate that things also start to get too serious, money and greed leech their way into the cracks, enemies are born from those who you would normally laugh with and the serious faces replace the tears of laughter.
In a short while a lot of us will be jet setting over to a strange land to compete in a comp that could yield many things. While some claim not to care and some have reservations about it all, I urge you all to sit back, go back in your mind and remember how and why you started doing this. For nearly every single one of you out there it was what is at the and of this video… to simply hang out with like minded fools so you can laugh, smile and forget about all those things in life that get you down, one Lipo at a time. Never forget that no matter where this awesome hobby takes you.
No matter where this sport goes from here, no matter who achieves what, no matter who wins, who looses, never forget why we started doing this. Most importantly, never forget the fun, never forget those amazing friends you have met along the way. After all, that’s why we are here.
