I love using blackbox to fine-tune a copter's PID settings, but I always do my basic tune with visual FPV flight. This video shows the flight maneuvers I use to feel out a copter's PID tune, with specific flight characteristics that I'm looking for to tell me whether my P, I, or D gains are right or not.
I know that my viewers love blackbox analysis as much as I do, but blackbox can also be a little deep for some pilots. So there is no blackbox analysis at all in this video--just flying! Enjoy!
