On the Island, everyone gathers downtown on the evening of July 3rd to take part in the street dance. This leaves the rest of the Island, including this park, quite empty.

The park was unusually empty for a friday night, great news for me. It stays light so late up here in the PNW, it's great to get these flights in up to and after 9pm.
