Isle Royale 2019

So as most of you know I'm a father of 2. My oldest just graduated HS and as a graduation gift i took him to Isle Royale National Park to kayak the North Eastern Island chains. We started in Copper Harber and took the Queen to Rock Harbor. We portaged into Tobin Harbor, crossed and then completed the dreadful 0.8m portage across the main island into Duncan Bay where we camped for night 1. We then made our way to Birch Island where we stayed 2 nights while also fishing in Brady Cove (OMG the fishing there was the best ive ever experienced!!!). After Birch we started heading back east and stayed a night at Belle Island where we gorged ourselves with wild raspberries, blueberries, and thimbleberries. i didnt eat my lunch that i packed for this day. LOL! From Belle we went north around Blake Point to Merritt Lane for a night and then the next day we made it to Rock Harbor and took the Queen back to Copper Harbor. I saw 1 moose (in the vid), 1 beaver, 1 otter, countless loons and ducks, met some pretty cool people at each campsite every night and strengthened the bond between me and my son Matt. Which is what i was really hoping to accomplish there.
This edit is just a bunch of time lapse shots and a few shorts i clipped together and flared up with music and sound effects to make it more enjoyable to watch. I hope you enjoy the vid and it inspires you to go visit IRNP - it really is one of our gem parks in the states!
