This series of lessons uses the free FPV Freerider simulator to teach a complete beginner how to fly an FPV multirotor in acro (no autoleveling) mode. You can learn to fly a quadcopter at home in front of your computer for almost no money. You can learn to fly without any fear of crashing and breaking an expensive toy. And yes, the things you learn here WILL translate over to real life.

This lesson presents a different way of turning around and going back the way you came. Instead of just turning the normal way, you push your nose down to the ground and roll 180 degrees. One advantage of this approach is that you can keep a target obstacle in sight of your FPV camera, which makes for a nice viewing experience during the highlight reel, and also means you can see the gap you're trying to hit the whole time.
