How to "float" inverted like Mr. Steele (and others)

How do Mr. Steele, Skitzo, FinalGlideAus, and other top acro pilots "float" inverted for so long? The answer boils down to physics. Get a lot of upward momentum and then idle the props to as low a value as you can without using stability. Now gravity takes over and the copter is essentially a projectile.
