The FAI 2019 Championships held in China in December. Late edit I know, but it's finally done. Awesome event as usual as specially with the mix of countries you get.
We had great fun meeting and hanging out with teams from various countries and all in all the weather was great and not too cold. The track was well designed but they had the aircraft launching way too close to the pilots which created so many issues.
They also started the first few races with pilots requiring to have props off, which was a world first and as you can imagine it delayed the first days practice significantly. So the FAI really do need to work on many areas to really pull off a polished event and I'm sure they will get there, as specially when you consider the significant improvement from the 2018 event.
5 months on and we're still in talks with the FAI in hopes that they will actually pay out prize money, but I'm sure we'll eventually get there.
All in all an awesome event and hoping the 2020 event if it goes ahead is even bigger and better. Hey FAI if you need consultation in how to run future events please feel free to contact us, we have a little more experience at this 😜
Hope you enjoyed the video guys
