It's usually a bad idea to change your race setup in the week before a race... But to do it a day before is plain crazy!! BUT, I was so intrigued by the new DYS Special Edition 2205/2300kV that I just had to see what it could do. On the thrust stand I found some interesting results - compared to my previous motor, the DYS favoured HQ5x4x3 over the HQ5x4x4 (my previous motor was the exact opposite) - offering me MORE thrust, for LESS amps!! Has to be a good option in my book, less sag in the later laps is going to be a real boost - and running lighter packs will get me through the gates quicker too!

But, everyone knows thrust stand performance is not equal to real world performance, so with 24 hours left until the FutureMe race (I'm writing this the night before!!) I decided to give them a go...

I fully intended to switch back to my other motors (and I will do in the race if durability becomes a problem), but after giving these a good 'run in' - the results are undeniable for me - these are the motors to race with...

So I put this quick clip together to give an idea of what they can do, and I'm going to get an early night after recharging all my packs.
