Do simulators work? 1st time night flying in a garage IRL after much Velocidrone practice!

First time flying in a parking garage but I've practiced a lot on Velocidrone (the simulator). Do simulators work? Will I be able to fly or will I make a fool in front of my special guest WHOISJASON???
