Every year before the summer the 'Vrienden van Strand Ballum' on the island of Ameland in the Netherlands get together to move well over 100.000 cubic meters of sand from one end of the beach to the other to fill a large gully created each year by mother nature. They use a whole fleet of excavators, front loaders and tractors with trailers operated by a large number of volunteers to make this happen. I obviously couldn't resist taking a closer look and flying around this heavy machinery.
