"Things are different now"- is what I kept repeating when John and Matt, founders of IQ Motion Control stopped by my little shop to hand deliver and help setup their prototype 6s Motor & ESC Combo. Am absolutely honored, and giddy with excitement about drone tech again.
We've been used to using sensorless motors, with ESC's not knowing exactly what the motor is doing... Their technology incorperates a brushless motor sensor to give the ESC a precise location of where the motor is. It opens the door to next level motor control. Full feature set of which I'm under NDA over... What I can say is that for 3D and Long Range pilots this tech is going to be revolutionary. 3D with these motor and ESC is magical, offloading 3D mode to the ESC's bypassing the often broken 3D mode on the FC... It just works and makes what I've been using previously feel completely broken and outdated. I can't understate how next level it really is.
For long range pilots you're gonna love the silky smooth feel of these motors, paired with their 20% efficiency increase for longer flight times... It's a win-win. Every pilot is gonna want a set of these, no hype train needed.
The future is coming- and it's magical.
