Behold, the Dysonain Dragonfly. An early look at our Season 3 X Class Drone Racing setup for the track. Going to a plus configuration and adding wings- this marks the first hybrid design to enter the ring of Giant Drone Racing! Meeting the 800mm minimum spec and providing an even larger surface area for advertisement. Wings are some of the fastest and most efficient setups in the air, far surpassing traditional "drones", this hybrid combines the best of both worlds.
We'll be test flying the machine Sunday at the old Scott's Valley Airport aka Skypark at Noon. This is an early prototype *anything* could happen, though I'm feeling confident that we nailed the basics of the design, and will be iterating the design based on how it performs. @redbull gives you wings ;) Huge thanks to Dysonain for going down the rabbit hole with me on hybrid designs. From an idea months ago to a reality today, it's awesome to see what happen when we put our heads together. And thanks @masterairscrew for the props, they're jammin!
