The last few days have been pretty difficult in a few different ways and it’s just a little overwhelming. Between the storm and everything else going on, I’m trying really hard to remain positive. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a struggle. But Mini, the dogs and myself did evacuate to Suwanee. My very first evacuation in the 24 years I’ve lived at Topsail, and even though it’s not looking as bad as it was, my home is 2 miles from the ocean. And I have a creek in my backyard. Please, keep everyone who stayed in your thoughts, as well as the 1.5 million people who have evacuated from their homes. It’s going to be interesting to see how much of the island is left when I get back... #hurricaneflorence
